HFNC is a PROUD partner of the GOOD SPORTS PROGRAMfrom the Football Department - a very good roll up of players to the recommencement of training for season 2012. Training will continue on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Don Road Complex.The HFNC Acknowledges the Passing of one of our Esteemed Life Members, Albert (Bob) Gray on Sunday 11th December 2011.Bob played football for the club in the 1940’s & early 50’s. He was a member of the 1950 Reserve’s Premiership team and then became a dedicated committee man culminating in a Life Membership in the 1960’s. He has lived in Monbulk for many years ans was a Rotarian for a 40yrs.We always caught up with Bob when Healesville played Monbulk at Monbulk.Our Condolences go out to Betty and the family.Another club Stalwart in Ernie Simnet passed away recently and will be sadly missed. For the last few years, Ernie along with his dry sense of humour have been looking after the gate making sure no-one got through without paying.from the Football Department 16th December 2011MAX WARRENMax started playing football with the Healesville Junior Football Club and showed then that he had the skills of one day becoming a very good footballer as his Junior coaches, Mick Connell, Brendon Larkin & Leigh Dryden will attest to.Max continued his football at the Senior Club with the Under 18’s coached by Tom Chandler It was during this time that Max was given his oppurtunity to play senior football by the then senior coach and a former North Melbourne player in Frank Lesiputty.Max is the 1st player to be drafted who had actually played senior games for Healesville of the current AFL drafting system.His team mates pictured here, some of who played with him during his junior years, are naturally pleased for him and hope that Max goes on and becomes a great AFL champion due to his great character and along with the coaches mentioned above, will on Brownlow Medla night when he wins, will all be smittten with themselves over having some influence on his career.Link to North Melbourne sitePlease keep an eye on the website for further details with regards to the resumption date for training in the new year.QUOTE of the Year“The Elephant said to the Bullant, you have to love someone to make love”Monday 16th JanuaryTraining News:Pre Season training recommences tonight and Wednesday night starting at 6:30pmThe HFNC acknowledges the passing of Henri Louw who has been a timekeeper and interest in the club.
